HJF is seeking a Laboratory Project Coordinator to support the International Laboratory Program (INLAP) within the Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) located in Bethesda, MD. This is a good opportunity for those considering medical school, scientific research careers, a career in project management field or in procurement, logistics and supply chain management. Required Knowledge. Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with laboratory supplies and equipment preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced international research environment and coordinate multiple priorities on different timelines. Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities as necessary. Excellent organization , time, and project management skills with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interact with local and international external collaborators in a culturally sensitive manner. Ability to work as an effective team member in a virtual environment. High level of initiative and drive, ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office software required. Potential for travel to international field sites.
Minimum Education/ Training: Bachelors' degree in science, health related discipline, or Business administration, required.
Minimum Experience: Strongly preferred, 1-2 years research experience working in research setting (lab, clinical).
Work Environment: Office and laboratory Setting
